Staycation. What a great idea! Not just for our current economic situation, but also for families with babies & toddlers. No packing, minimal traveling, extra fun, same old daily routine, and your own bed. The kids were great and the entire staycation only cost us about $23.
The first day is it was raining so we made some crafts and brownies and watched a movie. In the last picture Jack is showing off his pictures that we painted using the wheels on all of his toy cars. One day we had a picnic and rode the train in Carson park. Another day we went to the fountain park and ate ice cream. Staycation was also supposed to include tent camping in the backyard, but that was vetoed by Chad due to the extreme-for-Wisconsin heat & humidity.
