A post to catch up

Our friends Damon & Jess Day were in the cities this weekend. Damon coaches baseball at the University of Nebraska- Kearney and his team was playing in the Metrodome this weekend. This is how the day ended... Jack exhausted from excitement and clutching both baseballs he got at the game- notice one is autographed by the UNK players.
The metrodome was pretty empty so the boys could explore everywhere. They really liked hanging over the edge and looking into the dugout (who doesn't?!) We even got somewhat of a behind-the-scenes tour of the Metrodome just trying to find our way inside- the only entrance was through the loading dock. But we got to park right next to the dome which was really nice when you have two kids and and all their stuff.

During the games, Jack found a ball out in the left field stands. After that he was quick to chase the foul balls. He was carrying around three at one time. After the game, he went out on the field with daddy, met Coach Damon, and returned the foul balls. Damon took Jack by the hand into the dugout to get some players' autographs. It was the Twins' home dugout just in case you think that's as cool as I do.

Ty just liked climbing the stairs, the railing....
The UNK Lopers split the doubleheader (lost 5-4, then won 5-2).

While the kids were in Iowa. Chad and I cleaned and organized my Projects Area in the basement. I have one of those ribbon things!!!
The boys made Valentine cookies and a HUUUUUUGGGGE mess at Nana's house in Iowa.

Jack's cookies turned out great. I was impressed. But he wore out quickly and preferred to have me put baseball treds on the rest.

Ty busied himself gobbling up any and every sweet thing within reach.

I tried to get a photo of the boys TOGETHER in their Valentine's Day t-shrits. No luck. Here is innocent and charming Jack.

Sweet, Smiley Ty.

And the truth is captured here. Jack copping attitude and Ty thinking "Jack is so funny!"
Other funny stuff from this month- Jack went to a sledding party for Marty's birthday. He got a goodie bag with among other things florescent orange gloves which he has worn every minute since. 6am the day after the party he came in my room with the gloves on, ate breakfast in them....I have to tell him "take the gloves OFF when you go potty!"
Jack- "Papa, I found the most precious icicle in the world and it just broke."
Jack is always saying "I can't take it anymore!" I don't know where he got that:)
