"Snow Day"

Mom- here's what happened after I googled "presschool lesson plans" and found a winter theme.
1. First we cut up paper for "snow" and crumpled it for "snowballs" inside the igloo (cardboard box) After the "snowstorm" glue the snowflakes to the igloo.

2. we read books about snowmen, then we "built" one using Ty and all our hats, scarves, mittens...we had a paper carrot nose, paper buttons and real sticks for arms.

We took a skate on our pond (the living room rug). We taped wax paper to our socks for skates- ridiculously fun.
Then we did a science experiment with an ice cube, string and salt.
Finally we made a snowman treat- 2 marshmallows, 3 pretzel sticks & 3 raisins.

I think Ty made a snow-octopus.

The day began by Ty making his own snowstorm out of sugar. STINKY baby!!!
He would look up for the photo because he's complaining about sugar stuck to his feet.
