Pumpkin Patch 2013

We love Pleasant Valley Tree Farm's Fall Festival and we go every year.  It's one of my favorite days.  This year was especially memorable because Ty was so excited to tell them that he too is a Pumpkin Farmer.  He was so distracted by all the activities that he forgot to say anything until the very last - the hayride.  He struck up his conversation with the driver.  After talking pumpkins a bit, the driver asked Ty to be the Wagon Boss.  At the beginning, middle, & end of the ride the driver shouted back at Ty "Wagon Boss Ty, is everyone still on the wagon?" And Ty was supposed to raise his hand & give a thumbs-up.  Ty was SO PROUD and felt so important.  It actually was an important job since we nearly lost one dad off the back during the ride.  Super fun end to a really great day.
Maddox started the day like this.  Then shut his eyes, soaked up the lovely sun & slept the entire time we were there.  He woke just in time to show his eyes for the very last & most important (because it's my favorite) annual photo.

Of course the rabbits were for sale & Ty was begging (He wants a pet rabbit so he can train it to box.  I say that's all we need at our house- a boxing rabbit!)

pushing the button to fire the pumpkin cannon

Horse races- those darn horses were stubborn and refused to line up for a photo!

Spooky trail- we all take turns putting our arm in the rubber cat's mouth & making scared faces.  Too bad mom put her finger in most of the photos here.

after a small fight, we agreed this annual photo must now appear twice- one measuring Jack...

and one measuring Ty.
(will not remeasure my finger next year tho)

Here it is- my favorite annual photo.  I love those boys!  What a fun day!
